Map-making and building traps for the story "Big Bad Fred" in PK!

Fairdale Elementary will be dismissed today, 10/8/2026, at 12:30pm due to water issues.
10/5/2026 bus 228 will not be making its run this afternoon. Students who normally ride home on bus 228 will be split between busses 227 and 246. All students who typically ride 228, 227 and 246, please be advised that bus times may be slightly altered this afternoon due to this change. Thank you!
Our 2nd and 3rd grade students will be performing in a Veteran's Day program. Families of the 2nd and 3rd grade students, as well as veterans in our community, are welcome to attend. If any of our Falcons would like to send in a photo to be displayed on our bulletin board, please see the attached information and send in those photos during the month of October.

Falcons were fantastic to watch at the Raleigh County Cheer Competition! You represented our school well!

Six classrooms were awarded Golden Awards for the first month of school! The Golden Spoon is given to the homerooms with the best cleanliness and behavior in the cafeteria. The Golden Shoes go to the classes who show the best hallway expectations. The Golden Dustpans go to the homerooms who are the tidiest at the end of the school day! These awards are displayed as the class' bragging rights for the entire month! Who will win next month? Thank you to our Falcon staff and students for taking such pride in your school, as well as showing self-control and respect!

It was so wonderful to see our families show up for Parent Days this week. 97 family members signed in and spent time with their Falcons learning about iReady score interpretation and fun ways to practice mathematics with their students. We thank Mrs. Chesley for all she did to make this happen. We thank our Falcon family members for making your students know how much you support their education!

A reminder of our parent activities for today and tomorrow! We look forward to seeing you!

Wishing our Falcon cheerleaders the best of luck at competition!

Thank you for supporting our Falcons with the recent fundraiser! Our students enjoyed the mega party today!

Rain or shine, tomorrow is the Mega Party at FES! On 09/29/2026 we request your students come to school in comfortable clothing free of any metal such as zippers or buckles. Please send your children to school with shoes that are easy for him/her to remove and put on. All students have the opportunity to participate in the mega party, while students selling the required amount of items get extra participation time!
Please see the following information for our upcoming parent day sessions, grades K-5!
