Fairdale also welcomes Mrs. Blankenship to our staff! Read her bio here!
Hello! My name is Allison Blankenship, and I am excited to teach fifth grade math and science this year!
I am proud to call this community home, where I live with my husband, Chris, and our three children, Bryson, Rylee, and Isaiah. I enjoy serving in our church, napping, and coaching volleyball.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies from West Virginia University and my master’s degree in Elementary Education. This is my 15th year teaching, and I look forward to another year of learning and growth!
I believe learning should be engaging, challenging, and fun. I can’t wait to explore new ideas, overcome challenges, and create wonderful memories with my students this year.

Let's give a warm welcome to one of our newest Falcon staff members, Miss Adams! We are looking forward to having her on our team!
Hello! My name is Tenley Adams, and I am excited to be joining Fairdale Elementary as a 4th grade teacher! I recently graduated from Concord University with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
Teaching has always been my passion, and I look forward to creating a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn each day. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, dancing, reading, and traveling.
I can't wait to meet my students and their families and make this a wonderful year together!

It is a busy week ahead for our Falcons! Monday is career day, in which students will get to meet folks from a variety of careers and learn about their fields of work. This is also the day of our WVGSA Incentive (glow party) and WV Tourism will be visiting with our 5th graders. Tuesday is 5th grade graduation at 9am, PK graduation at 11am, and K graduation at 1:30pm. Guests for the graduations will enter the school at the gymnasium doors and sign in there. Wednesday is awards day for 3rd and 4th grades at 9am and 1st and 2nd grades at 1pm. Guests for awards day will also enter the school at the gymnasium doors and sign in there. Thursday is field day for our students. We suggest sending a change of clothes, towel and sunscreen on that day. Friday is our PBIS semester incentive for those students who earned it!
