It was a fun day to be a Falcon! We are thankful for everyone who helped to make this day happen for our students!

Congratulations to raffle ticket drawing winner, Jimmie Toler! 5th grade sold raffle tickets to raise money for their end of year trip. The winning ticket was sold by Hunter!

5th grade field trip to see the Nutcracker had to be cancelled recently due to weather and was unable to be rescheduled. 5th grade students received their refunds and will be bringing them home today.

Christmas cuteness in Pre-K!

Congratulations to the Fairdale Science Fair winners! We are very proud of our Falcons! Those who won first place at school will compete in the Raleigh County Science Fair.

The Christmas Sing-A-Long scheduled for FES on 12/15/2025 will now follow the schedule below: Tuesday, 12/16/2025 PK-1st grade students will perform at 9:30am. Thursday, 12/18/2025 2nd-5th grade students will perform at 1:30pm. Thank you and stay warm, Falcons!

Big things are happening at FES this upcoming week! Here is a list of things you may need to know!
1. Santa Shop will be continued on Monday 12/15 and Wednesday 12/17.
2. The Christmas Sing-A-Long is scheduled for 12/15/2025, with PK-1st grades performing at 9:30am and 2nd-5th grades performing at 1:30pm.
3. Dress up days are as follows: Monday 12/15 is "Christmas Colors Day - wear red, green, blue or white." Tuesday 12/16 is "Holiday Glow Up Day - wear something shiny or bright." Wednesday 12/17 is "Jingle Toes - wear silly socks or Christmas socks." Thursday 12/18 is "Christmas Vacation - wear a Hawaiian shirt or a shirt from your favorite vacation destination." Friday 12/19 is "Merry Morning - wear your pajamas."
4. 4th Grade and 2nd grade have field trips scheduled for Tuesday, 12/16.
5. Class photos and makeup picture day are scheduled for 12/17/2025.
6. Many Christmas activities are scheduled throughout the day on 12/19. Also, the Snowball Dance has been rescheduled for the evening of 12/19. PK-2 students may attend the dance 5-6:30pm with a guardian. 6:30-8pm students in grades 3-5 may attend the dance. Students in grades 3-5 must be picked up promptly by 8pm, being signed out by a person listed on the child's emergency form.

The 3rd grade field trip will be canceled for 12/11/2025 due to the weather delay. Our 5th grade classes are holding a Christmas Raffle to help support our 5th grade students. Each raffle ticket is $1.00, and all proceeds will go directly toward supporting our 5th grade field trip. See a 5th grade student to purchase raffle tickets! This year's raffle baskets are packed with wonderful items, perfect for holiday gifting or enjoying yourself! The winner will recieve both baskets! the RCBOE’s scheduled meeting for today, December 9, 2025 at 4:30 PM.

We also ask that the principals of the schools for the LSIC Presentations and Student Recognitions to please notify the staff, students, parents and businesses
and let them know it will be rescheduled at a later date.

Good afternoon! The Science Fair will now be held at FES on Tuesday, 12/9/2025. Santa Shop will be held on December 10-12, with all items priced at $5 or less. The 3rd grade field trip is scheduled for 12/11/2025 and the 2nd grade field trip is scheduled for 12/12/2025. Pre-K students do not attend school on Friday, 12/12/2025. The Snowball Dance at FES has been rescheduled for Friday, 12/12/2025, with students in Pre-K through 2nd attending 5pm-6:30pm with a guardian, and 3rd-5th grade students dance from 6:30-8pm. 3rd-5th grade students may be dropped off at the gym door and picked up at 8pm by a person listed on the emergency form. Stay warm!

The Snowball Dance scheduled for 12/5/2025 is cancelled at FES. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

The 5th grade field trip scheduled for 12/5/2025 is now canceled.

Fairdale Elementary Science Fair drop off will be from 9:50am until 10:30am due to two hour delay. If school is cancelled for Friday, Dec. 5th Science Fair makeup day will be as scheduled, Monday, Dec. 8th.**

Today our school celebrated the 67th day of school, a day early, with Family Math Day. Students and their guests had the opportunity to rotate through many math activities! Many thanks to LeAnn Chesley, Falcon staff and volunteers for making this day of learning fun!
