January 9, 2026 is hat day for the Falcons! Pay $1 to wear a hat to school. All money raised will benefit the 5th grade class!
Monthly Golden Awards were presented at Fairdale Elementary as a part of our PBIS initiative.
The golden spoon is awarded to classrooms who show the best behavior and cleanliness in the cafeteria. Congratulations to Mrs. Dunbar's 3rd grade class and Mrs. Russell's 1st grade class for winning the golden spoon!
The golden dustpan awards are presented to classrooms who look the sharpest at the end of the day. Congratulations to Mrs. Judy Daniel's PK class and Ms. Begley's 4th grade class for winning the golden dustpan awards!
The golden shoes awards are presented to classrooms who exhibit the best hallway behavior. Congratulations to Mrs. Coleman's Kindergarte class and Mrs. Hazelwood's 3rd grade class for winning the golden shoes awards!

Congratulations, Falcons! Your attendance rate for the 4th month of school increased by 1.9%! 4th grade had the highest attendance rate for the 4th month of school and will be rewarded for this achievement. We love to see our Falcons each and every day, and look forward to seeing this upward trend continue!

It was a fun day to be a Falcon! We are thankful for everyone who helped to make this day happen for our students!








Congratulations to raffle ticket drawing winner, Jimmie Toler! 5th grade sold raffle tickets to raise money for their end of year trip. The winning ticket was sold by Hunter!
5th grade field trip to see the Nutcracker had to be cancelled recently due to weather and was unable to be rescheduled. 5th grade students received their refunds and will be bringing them home today.

Congratulations to the Fairdale Science Fair winners! We are very proud of our Falcons! Those who won first place at school will compete in the Raleigh County Science Fair.

The Christmas Sing-A-Long scheduled for FES on 12/15/2025 will now follow the schedule below:
Tuesday, 12/16/2025 PK-1st grade students will perform at 9:30am.
Thursday, 12/18/2025 2nd-5th grade students will perform at 1:30pm.

Big things are happening at FES this upcoming week! Here is a list of things you may need to know!
1. Santa Shop will be continued on Monday 12/15 and Wednesday 12/17.
2. The Christmas Sing-A-Long is scheduled for 12/15/2025, with PK-1st grades performing at 9:30am and 2nd-5th grades performing at 1:30pm.
3. Dress up days are as follows: Monday 12/15 is "Christmas Colors Day - wear red, green, blue or white." Tuesday 12/16 is "Holiday Glow Up Day - wear something shiny or bright." Wednesday 12/17 is "Jingle Toes - wear silly socks or Christmas socks." Thursday 12/18 is "Christmas Vacation - wear a Hawaiian shirt or a shirt from your favorite vacation destination." Friday 12/19 is "Merry Morning - wear your pajamas."
4. 4th Grade and 2nd grade have field trips scheduled for Tuesday, 12/16.
5. Class photos and makeup picture day are scheduled for 12/17/2025.
6. Many Christmas activities are scheduled throughout the day on 12/19. Also, the Snowball Dance has been rescheduled for the evening of 12/19. PK-2 students may attend the dance 5-6:30pm with a guardian. 6:30-8pm students in grades 3-5 may attend the dance. Students in grades 3-5 must be picked up promptly by 8pm, being signed out by a person listed on the child's emergency form.

Our 5th grade classes are holding a Christmas Raffle to help support our 5th grade students. Each raffle ticket is $1.00, and all proceeds will go directly toward supporting our 5th grade field trip. See a 5th grade student to purchase raffle tickets!
